Kerala: ITI student stabbed following group clash

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A student of Chackai ITI was wounded after being stabbed reportedly by students of another batch following a group clash.Adityan (19), who was stabbed twice in his stomach and ribs, was admitted to the medical college hospital where he underwent an emergency surgery. Senior leaders of the CPI(M), including district secretary Anavoor Nagappan visited Adityan at the hospital. The incident happened around 5.30pm, some 200 metres away from the ITI campus.A week ago, three students were expelled from the institution following a fight between two batches. Police said that the attack on Adityan was an aftermath of an inter-batch conflict on the campus. The police have taken two persons into custody in connection with the attack..
