KOCHI: Traffic around the busiest Vyttila junction is set for a major overhaul with the construction of the long-pending overbridge set to commence on November 25. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will be instructed to dismantle bus stops and side medians between Vyttila junction and the railway overbridge. Sahodaran Ayyappan Road will be widened where it enters Vyttila junction. Vehicles bound for Vyttila from Thammanam will have to use the Ponnurunni underpass to reach the junction.
