Alternate day water proposal for E-ward stalled amid protests

Tararani Aghadi corporator from Rukhmininagar Uma Ingale claimed residents in her ward are receiving contaminated water.Corporator Rajsinha Shelke from Jadhavwadi, who had tabled the proposal, stated that after the civic administration learnt they were going to table the proposal for alternate day water supply, officials resumed the water supply to E ward from the last two days. “We want uniform water supply in all areas and not that one part is left dry and other gets water,” said Congress corporator Bhupal Shete.Standing committee chairman Ashish Dhawale said that half the water lifted from the river is wasted and that KMC should concentrate on proper management since the water is available in abundance..
