It was a treat for movie buffs when Kolhapur witnessed an Iranian Film Festival which held in the city recently. The Iranian Film Festival focused on the film culture of contemporary Iran and social aspects of the Iranian society and audience were seen appreciating the films. Throughout the world, revolutionary films have begun in Iran since 1997. To add to this, the movie was preceded by a panel discussion on ‘Understanding Iranian Cinema' by film enthusiasts. The three-day festival that took place at Shahu Smarak Bhavan , screened various Iranian films like Bleeding Heart (2008), Hello Mumbai (2016), Under The Smoky Roof (2015), Human Comedy (2016) and Bench Cinema (2015) which have been directed by contemporary Iranian directors in the recent times..
