Apte is new chairman of Gokul dairy

Recently, Vishwas Patil had resigned from the post of the chairman of the association owing to demands from the directors of the cooperative dairy. Kolhapur: Ravindra Apte was elected on Monday as the new chairman of the Kolhapur District Milk Producers Association (KDMPA), also popularly known as Gokul dairy.None of the directors of the organization opposed Apte’s nomination. At present, the largest cooperative dairy is led by Mahadik and Congress leader P N Patil. After the announcement, Apte filed his nomination, which was not opposed by any director.Apte is 73-year-old and hails from the Ajara taluka. He has already served as the chairman of the association twice between 2008 and 2010.After his election to the post, Apte said that he will work hard to help the milk producing farmers and provide them an adequate price for the milk supplied by them to the dairy..
