Max temp drops by 5degC on Sat rises 4degC on Sun

Kolhapur: Maximum city temperature dropped by five degrees Celsius on Saturday to 27 degrees Celsius and rose to 31 degree Celsius by Sunday. Temperature was markedly below normal over North Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada and appreciably below normal over Kutch and Gujarat region. In its forecast for the next 24 hours from February 10, the met noted that cold wave conditions are likely to prevail at isolated parts of North Madhya Maharashtra. The five degrees Celsius reading recorded at Ahmednagar and Nashik was the lowest minimum temperature in the region. Cold day conditions prevailed in isolated pockets over North Madhya Maharashtra and Saurashtra/Kutch.The report added that minimum temperature appreciably rose over South Konkan-Goa and South Madhya Maharashtra and no big changes were noted elsewhere in the region..
