Enthusiatic senior citizens can soon apply for a PhD

Kolhapur: Senior Citizens will soon be able to apply for a PhD, as the University Grants Commission (UGC) has constituted a committee, said UGC vice-chairman Bhushan Patwardhan on Saturday, in a program at the Shivaji University, Kolhapur (SUK). 110 students were conferred with their degrees during the ceremony.History seminar takes place: An international one-day seminar on history was conducted at the city-based Vivekanand College recently. It added that Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), was the chief guest of the ceremony. The scheme is supported by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and had organized the digital photography course earlier this year, free of cost for these students.
