Sena-BJP to launch campaign from city

KOLHAPUR: The Shiv Sena-Bharatiya Janata Party alliance is likely to launch their state-wide election campaign from city on March 24.The campaign will start with a public rally. The decision to launch the campaign from south Maharashtra has been taken to stop the infighting in both the parties. A public meeting will take place at Gandhi Maidan.The decision to launch the campaign from Kolhapur was taken in a meeting between Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray and chief minister Devendra Fadnavis "Both the leaders will visit the Mahalakshmi temple and seek the blessings of the goddess before launchig the campaign. In 2014, Dhananjay Mahadik of the NCP defeated Sena's Sanjay Mandlik with a majority of 33,000 votes.
