World Food Day: West Bengal govt extends food security to 8.5 crore people, says Mamata Banerjee

On the World Food Day, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday said that her government had ensured that over 8.5 crore people in the state have been provided food security. “Special assistance is also provided to the people of Jangalmahal and Hill areas, Aila-affected areas, farmers of Singur, tea garden workers & Toto tribe,” she added.
