BSF seizes raw metal consignment smuggled from Bangladesh

Kolkata: The Border Security Force (BSF) seized raw metal valued at Rs 88,500 illegally brought from Bangladesh to West Bengal's Nadia district, an official said on Thursday. Instead of stopping they tried to overrun the patrolling party and injured one BSF officer. During frisking a white colour plastic gunny bag was recovered and raw metal of weighing approximately 59 kg valued at Rs 1,500 amounting to Rs 88,500 have been seized," the BSF official said.
