Kolkata: West Bengal State Electricity Board Employees' Union (WBSEBEU) which is affiliated to the INTTUC, has come up with a unique idea of deploying people who will visit 1.88 crore households across the state, who are the consumers of the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL). WBSEBEU has issued a circular saying that two persons will be engaged who will visit every household availing electricity from WBSEDCL. They will accompany the person who will be visiting the consumers while taking the meter reading from the houses. The two persons deployed by WBSEBEU will ask the consumers if they have been facing any inconveniences while availing electricity.
