Kolkata: The State Health department has decided to take prompt action against those who will be found smoking on the Swasthya Bhavan premises. The norms will be implemented from August 15 and the offenders will have to pay a fine if they are caught smoking at any portion of Swasthya Bhavan building and also in the compound. The entire Swasthya Bhavan building has been declared as smoking-free zone. If anyone is found to smoking in any place inside the Swasthya Bhavan compound in Salt Lake, he will be fined.
