Around 12:06 pm it was crossing Santragachi railway station. After the locomotive pilot came down, he saw a bike stuck under the locomotive which was still burning. He immediately informed Santragachi station master over his wireless set. The locomotive pilot did not see him as the bike came in front of the train at the last moment.
