Kolkata: The Cyber Crime police station of Bidhannagar Commissionerate on Tuesday arrested 16 persons for duping an elderly lady with the promise of refunding her dormant insurance policies. Three of the arrested persons are women. The arrests were made on the basis of a complaint lodged by the 73-year-old woman, a resident of Girish Park, in June. As per her complaint, she received phone calls in March 2018 where the caller asked her if she was facing any problem relating to dormant insurance.
