Rainfall likely in pockets of coastal districts MeT

Kolkata: Some South Bengal districts received scattered rainfall on Thursday, two days after the official announcement of withdrawal of South West Monsoon from the state. The Regional Meteorological Centre at Alipore said there may be some more rainfall in some pockets of the coastal districts in the next 24 hours as well. The MeT office, however, predicted that the humidity-level in the city and some other South Bengal districts will be on the higher side in the next couple of days particularly during the day time. Various South Bengal districts remained cloudy from the morning. Some parts of the city witnessed light showers and the met centre kept people on tenterhooks with its prediction of overcast sky and spells of thundershowers..
