CM hands over 104 acre land to Bagdogra Airport authorities

Siliguri: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has handed over 104 acres of land to the Bagdogra Airport authorities for its expansion and modernisation that will benefit not only Bengal but also Nepal, Bhutan and Sikkim. Sources said that if everything goes as planned then the expansion work will initiate at the earliest. The expansion work in the land adjacent to the existing airport will be carried out at a cost of at least Rs 500 crore. The expansion work is expected to get completed in two years time.
