Poll campaigning ends, party leaders witnessed dozens of rallies: Bengal election

West Bengal is witnessing an intense political fight between BJP, TMC, and other parties ahead of the first phase of assembly elections, in which 30 constituencies will go for polling.

As per the EC, the first phase of voting for the West Bengal Assembly elections 2021 will begin on Saturday (March 27).

March 25, Thursday, marked the last day of campaigning for the first phase of voting.

The citizens of West Bengal embraced over a dozen rallies and public meetings on the last day of campaigning.

The star campaigners for BJP included Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty, and UP CM Yogi Adityanath.

Whereas, on the other hand, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee held her ground tight for TMC.

Amit Shah address over five rallies in the poll-bound state yesterday.

Shah addressed a rally in Purulia, followed by Jhargram, Tamluk, Turki Math Bishnupur, and Bishnupur.

The Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also addressed public meetings in Bengal boosting BJP candidates in the upcoming state assembly elections.

He addressed public meetings in Joypur, Taldangra, and Kakdwip assembly constituencies.

Veteran actor and new BJP leader, Mithun Chakraborty also took out four roadshows in the state.
