Over 70 relief camps closed

As of now, around 10,000 people from around 3,000 families are staying in relief camps. more-inThe number of relief camps has come down to 81 in the district. More than 70 camps that functioned in the limits of Kozhikode, Thamarassery, Koyilandy and Vadakara taluks were closed on Monday after the District Collector’s review meeting with Revenue Department authorities. Revenue Department officials say support is mainly needed for the worst-hit families in Puthuppadi and Kattippara panchayats.
