Two more die of leptospirosis in district

Jayasree gave the name of the deceased as Salimsha, 42, of Karammoola near Karassery, and Vijesh, 34, of Keezhal near Vadakara. The isolation ward set up during Nipah outbreak at the medical college will now accommodate leptospirosis patients. As many as 17 persons have died with leptospirosis symptoms in the district so far, and the blood samples of six of them had been tested positive.
