more-inThe Health Department has closed down two restaurants in the district after raids were conducted on restaurants, hotels, cool bars, bakeries, catering units, and hostels as part of the ‘Healthy Kerala’ initiative. In some places, even human excreta were found to have been discharged into water resources. A sum of ?14,100 was collected from hotels and other units as fine for violating anti-smoking provisions. Action would be taken under the Public Health Act against any lapses, she said.
