NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday broke a protocol by leaving alone from the UP Investors Summit The incident happened when PM Modi, after finishing his address at the event, was preparing to leave for the airport. There were two podiums at the venue — one exclusively reserved for the PM and the other was installed for other speakers. As other ministers got ready to accompany him, the PM, despite repeated requests, asked them to stay behind and focus on the event.However, governor Ram Naik insisted on leaving with the PM and accompanied him to the airport.This was the first instance when a PM left without the company of a minister or a government official.According to sources, CM Adityanath was scheduled to hold meetings with business delegates at the event later in the day and PM was not keen on the CM missing these meetings.During the event, another protocol was broken when businessman Subhash Chandra opted to address the gathering from a dais meant for PM Modi..
