LMRC begins construction of special span between Indiranagar amp Munshipulia

LUCKNOW: People commuting from Ring Road to Gomtinagar can expect some more congestion near the polytechnic crossing from Sunday as the Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) has begun construction of a huge cantilever bridge on the top of the Polytechnic Flyover from Indiranagar Metro Station to Munshipulia. He also inspected the work of Second Special Cantilever Bridge (60 Meters) near Karamat College.After this, he reviewed the ongoing works of the Badshah Nagar, Lekhraj, RS Mishra, Indiranagar and Munshipulia Metro Stations where he inspected the progress of making the staircase at all Metro stations. The remaining work for keeping the U-Girder at the Kukrail Drain, Polytechnic, Nishatganj, and IT crossing will start soon, added officials. The total length of the bridge will be 180 metres.While reviewing the work progress of metro on North-South Corridor, LMRC MD Kumar Keshav announced that the Lucknow Metro’s special cantilever span over River Gomti will be ready by September 2018. Now the work of linking the two sides of the Special Cantilever Bridge is being done.The Managing Director, in his visit, also saw the work of the University and IT Metro Station, where he saw the work of making concourse slab with the work of entrance and exit etc..
