While this shows their lack of interest in the affairs of the madrassa, the institution also lacks the sufficient number of students and teachers as requisite under the law.”Sunil Tripathi, a teacher who teaches science at the madrassa under Madrassa Modernisation Scheme had protested the cleric’s action, shot a video of the incident and posted it on social media.The principal Faizlur Rehman and local cleric Junaid Ansari were arrested by police and a case of treason was registered against them after the video of the incident went viral on social media.DM Amarnath Upadhyay had directed the district minority officer Prabhat Kumar to investigate the matter..
