UP: Gang selling fake bus tickets busted by STF

LUCKNOW: With the arrest of three miscreants from Aligarh, the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (UPSTF) busted a gang selling fake bus tickets in connivance with Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport UPSRTC ) officials on Friday.Those arrested have been identified as Amit, Surjit and Ashok. All three were working as contractual workers with the UPSRTC.SSP (STF) Abhishek Singh said that the gang was known as 'Group'. They used to target buses from Aligarh to Mathura and Agra.Explaining the 'modus operandi', Singh said the trio in connivance with roadways officials used to distribute a sheet which was marked with fare. The gang used to call it 'Okay ticket'.The passengers were given 'Okay tickets' rates of which were decided by the group itself, said the officer.The 'group' had also recruited bouncers to thrash passengers who objected to taking the computer generated tickets and asked for a genuine one.Probe is still underway, police said..
