Summary:

LUCKNOW: After rejecting an alliance with Congress for the ongoing assembly polls in five states, BSP supremo Mayawati on Friday also refused to support the party in case of a hung assembly. “Congress and BJP are saanpnath and naagnath, and there is no question of going with them. There is no question of thinking about taking or giving support when we are confident of getting absolute majority. Sources in BSP even suggested that the alliance would not extend support to anyone in case of a hung assembly, and the only probability can be the new CM being an alliance member. However, suppose there is such a situation where we don’t get majority, we will prefer sitting in opposition but will not support BJP or Congress,” Mayawati said.Saying that both parties were against Dalits, tribals, farmers and unemployed for whose welfare BSP and Janta Congress were fighting, Mayawati said BJP and Congress were two sides of same coin..
