LUCKNOW: The body of a minor girl , who had gone missing on Friday, was recovered from Kukrail embankment under Mahanagar police station here on Sunday.The recovery of minor girl’s body led to a clash between the police and relatives of the victim. The victim later bundled her in a sack and dunped her body in Kukrail embankment.The family approached the Mahanagar police when they started searching for her and failed. The girl could not withstand it and died. “The victim and the assailant happen to be ragpickers and reside in the same area of Ambedkarpur near Faizabad road in Mahanagar,” he added.On the fateful day of December 28, the victim had hit the assailant with a stick while playing after which the teenager got enraged and hit her hard. The kin accused police of laxity in tracing the child.The family members and the neighbours staged a sit-in on the main Faizabad road with the corpse for over 20 minutes, after which the police cane-charged them.Meanwhile, the cops have arrested a 14-year-old boy on the charges of killing the girl.SSP Lucknow Kalanidhi Naithani said that the Mahanagar police had already detained a teenager who confessed to killing the girl during interrogation..
