B'shahr violence: BJP Youth wing leader arrested

In all 34 violence, accused have been arrested now including the prime ones Yogesh Raj, Bajrang Dal leader, Prashant Natt who had alledgedly shot dead the cop, Kalua who had attacked Subodh with an axe before being shot dead. Soon after, Hindu rightwing groups joined villagers and carried the carcasses in tractor trolleys to stage protest in front of police post. This led to a clash between agitated crowds and inadequate police force.Incidentally, the incident took place on the last day of Tabligi Iztema that witnessed a religious convention comprising 1.5 million Muslim devotees. Police has also recovered the axe but the Subodh Singh’s pistol which was used to kill him is yet to be recovered.On Wednesday, police got remand of Natt for 12 hours and ADG Meerut zone Prashant Kumar had said, “With most of the accused in jail, now police’priority is to find the weapon used to kill the cop.” On December 3, villagers found carcasses of 3-4 cows in the agricultural fields of Mahav village in Siyana. MEERUT: Shikhar Agarwal, BJP Youth wing leader and one of the prime accused in Bulandshahr Siyana violence tha t resulted in the murder of inspector Subodh Kumar Singh and a youth Sumit Kumar, has been arrested from Hapur According to a senior police official who did not wish to be quoted said, Agarwal was arrested by Jehangirabad police station force in the early hours of Thursday.Agarwal was the last key accused in Siyana violence and was allegedly involved in instigating the crowd that went on rampage killing a cop and a youth apart from setting to fire, Chingrawati police post and a number of vehicles parked there including police jeep carrying the slain police officer.It took police more than a month to nab Agarwal even though the latter had been uploading his videos on social media claiming innocence in addition to giving interviews on TV channels..
