Gurdwara ‘gyani’ Paramjeet Singh said, “Guru Gobind Singh was born in 1666. He sent them to devotees in Lucknow directing them to send a large cannon and some gold to Paonta Sahib. The hukamnamas contain instructions on ‘naam japo’, an order to meditate and chant ‘Waheguru’,” said secretary Manmohan Singh.“Guru Maharaj also wrote a ‘mool mantra’ (hymn) in 1686 specially for devotees of the city. In 1672, his son Guru Gobind Singh visited the place and stayed here for two months and 13 days with his mother, Mata Gujri and uncle Kripal Chand on way from Anandpur Sahib, Punjab, to Patna Sahib. “Five quintals of flowers will be used for decoration,” he added..
