Swine flu tally continues to soar six more test positive

LUCKNOW: Swine flu cases continue to surface in the city as six more persons, including five women, tested positive to the virus on Tuesday. "Doctors examined 125 patients at Krishnalok Colony camp, 116 at Indiranagar camp and 145 at Lok Bandhu hospital. These four patients have been kept in isolation in their homes.Meanwhile, the state health department organised special swine flu screening and awareness camps at three locations in the city - Indiranagar, Krishnalok Colony and Lok Bandhu hospital. These included a two-year-old girl from Barabanki who is undergoing treatment at KGMU.The health department also distributed medicines and pamphlets at the health camp while auxillary nurse midwife (ANMs) have been told to visit at least 100 households each in the areas designated to them and check for patients with flu like symptoms. The tally of swine flu cases in the city has now touched 78.The cases reported on Tuesday included a 48-year-old woman from Jankipuram and a 50-year-old man from Telibagh, both of whom have been admitted to SGPGI.Other patients are a 30-year-old woman from Vijay Nagar, a 62-year-old woman from Kalindi Park area, a 38-year-old woman from Aashiana Colony and a 45-year-old woman from Aashiana..
