Yogi Adityanath has also ordered a shutdown on Sunday when only essential services and activities will be allowed.

This will be a weekly feature, according to officials.

Yesterday, the state announced that schools will be shut till May 15 and also postponed state board exams after reporting the highest-single day spike in coronavirus cases since the outbreak of the pandemic last year.Uttar Pradesh reported 104 deaths and 22,439 fresh cases on Thursday.
