Female drug peddling accused dies of heart attack in Jagraon court complex

LUDHIANA: A female accused in the drug peddling case died of heart attack in a lawyer’s room in court complex in Jagraon on Saturday. They added that doctors declared her brought dead.Her advocate said that the persons accompanying her told him that the woman had diabetes problem and had taken medicine as well. He added that on Saturday morning at around 9.30 am Mohinder Kaur along with two persons came to his cabin as she had hearing of the case in the court of Sub Divisional judicial magistrate Pradeep Synghal. The deceased was identified as 65-year-old Mohinder Kaur of Rani Waala Khooh of Jagraon city.Ashok Bhandari, the advocate for Mohinder Kaur, said that the woman is facing a case under NDPS act of city police station for the recovery of three grams Charas in 2017. The advocate said while sitting in his room she suddenly fell down from the bench after which he asked the two persons accompanying her to nearby hospital.Eyewitness said that the woman was rushed to the civil hospital that is near to court complex..
