Despite order, deaths, no action against vehicles parked on highways

LUDHIANA: The city police and highway patrol authority have not learnt any lessons from accidents caused by stationary vehicles. Stationary vehicles are dangerous on highways, where vehicles are driving at 80kmph on an average. Moreover, it is the duty of the patrolling team to off road the vehicles parked on highways. As per rules, there should be a highway patrol with ambulance, recovery van and a hydraulic cutter at every 50 km.
