Ludhiana: Man dies in cylinder blast

LUDHIANA: A 35-year-old man died when a welding gas cylinder exploded at his welding shop near the city bus stand on Friday morning.According to information, the man had re-filled the gas cylinder to start his work and almost half-an-hour later, the cylinder exploded. A piece of cylinder hit the man near his heart and he died on spot.On hearing the blast, shopkeepers rushed to the spot and found the shop owner dead. He refilled the welding cylinder and started working. The police took his body for post-mortem examination.The deceased has been identified as Praveen Kumar (35) of Dugri.The man, along with his wife and three children, were living in a rented accommodation for the past three years.Praveen Kumar was the only bread winner for the family.On Friday morning, Praveen came at his store around 10.30 am..
