LUDHIANA: In a bid to bring transparency and convenience for the residents, the online land registry facility is now fully operational in all 15 sub-registrar offices of Ludhiana district . The applicants can now apply online for land registry through www.igrpunjab.gov.in. It was added that no registry is being done without online registration. Details regarding stamp duty and registry fees can also be sought using this portal. He informed that with the help of National Generic Document Registration System, the required stamp duty, fee and other costs are also calculated online and with the start of this system, resident’s dependance on deed writers has also decreased considerably..
