Two arrested with 3.5kg opium at railway station

LUDHIANA: The Government Railway Police (GRP) arrested two men with 3.5kg of opium at the city railway station during a late night inspection on Wednesday.The accused were identified as Manas Naag (28) and Phool Chand (22), who belonged to Jharkhand. While Manas was arrested with 2kg opium, Chand was nabbed with 1.5kg of the contraband. A case under Section 61-1-14 of the Excise Act was registered against the accused.
