IB alert: Security up at Patiala station

The police are keeping a watch, especially on dustbins at railway stations, bogies of trains, taxies and autorickshaws standing outside railway stations across the state. Following this, the senior divisional security commissioner had paid a visit at the Patiala railway station and carried out an inspection to ensure if the metal detectors had been working properly. The checking drives in Patiala, Rajpura, Ludhiana and other districts have been intensified and special metal detectors have been installed at railway stations across the state. "We have received inputs from the IB, following which a high alert has been issued for Punjab.
