Nigerian held with contraband worth Rs 57 Lakh

LUDHIANA: The Khanna police on Tuesday arrested a Nigerian citizen and recovered 100g heroin and seven gram cocaine from his possession.The recovered heroin costs Rs 50 Lakh and cocaine Rs 7 Lakh in the international market.The accused has been identified as Traurare Yakooba, 35, of Issugerre Avenue Colony Uveri, Emmo State Nigeria. He used to deliver drug to various places.The official added that the police have been questioning the accused to know from where he has procured the drugs and where he was going to deliver it. However, as soon as he saw the check point, he alighted form the bus and started walking. The accused was travelling in a bus.
