JNUSU prez backs Pbi varsity students

The protesting students of Democratic Student Organisation were allegedly attacked by a group of students of SAP on September 18 night, leaving some of them injured. The protesting students had then demanded a probe into the attack after pointing finger at the role of security in-charge, who not only failed to curb the attack but also allegedly allowed the attackers to come inside the university precincts in jeeps. He claimed that in JNU and many other universities girls have the freedom to enter whenever they want as the gates of hostels remain open round the clock.Meanwhile, the authorities have set up a three-member committee to look into the attack against the protesting students. PATIALA: After getting support from Panjab University’s newly-elected student president Kanu Priya, now the protesting students of Punjabi University have got the support from Jawaharlal Nehru University’s Student Union ( JNUSU ) president N Sai Balaji.Balaji addressed the students and extended his support to them and said that it was not an impossible task for Punjabi University to provide a secure environment to the female students after allowing them round the clock freedom over the entry into hostels..
