BATHINDA: At 87th rank, Bathinda is the only district of Punjab to fall in the category of first 100 district in Grameen Sarvekshan conducted under Narendra Modi led NDA government's ambitious ' Swachh Bharat Abhiyan '. Bathinda got total of 89.74 marks out of 100 divided into three categories. They said the district will further strive hard to bring laurels on many counts of cleanliness and providing clean administration. However adjoining Haryana has 18 of its districts falling into 100 with 3 districts falling into top ten with Rewari at 2nd, Gurugram atv5th and Karnal at 7th spot.Bathinda Deputy Commissioner Praneet and Additional Deputy Commissioner(development)Sakshi Sawhney said that "Bathinda got 35 points of 35 in the category of service level progress, 28.31 out of 35 into citizen feedback and 26.43 points out of 35 into category of direct observations"..
