Register FIR against premises owner if Dengue larvae found, says Ludhiana deputy commissioner

Both the departments should also intensify their checkings against presence of dengue larvae in public and private places so that preventive measures are taken in advance to combat dengue” LUDHIANA: Deputy commissioner(DC) Pardeep Aggarwal on Monday evening chaired a meeting of district level dengue monitoring committee in which he instructed health department and municipal corporation to deal strictly with the owner of premises where dengue larvae is found and if required the officials should lodge FIRs against such persons.DC also warned the general managers of Punjab Roadways and PRTC against keeping tyres, waste material etc. out in the open in their workshops and said that if any kind of larvae or mosquitoes are found in their premises stern action will be taken against them.During the meeting Aggarwal said, “Regardless of checking being done by health department and MC still there are a lot houses and factories whose owners are doing nothing to prevent accumulation of water in their premises where dengue larvae breeds. Moreover such people do not cooperate with the checking teams and therefore both the departments should ensure that apart from issuing challans the officials should also lodge FIR against such people so that they can be taught a lesson and it can act as a deterrent for others as well..
