GHG Khalsa College student sets new world record

LUDHIANA: Sandeep Chaudhary, a javelin thrower from GHG Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar, with his throw of 60.01m scripted history by breaking a 38-year-old world record at the ongoing Asian Para Games in Jakarta Indonesia . Dr S S Deol, principal, and Dr H S Brar, registrar, commended his phenomenal achievement and duly lauded the efforts of Prof Tejinder Singh, head of department, Dr Manohar Lal, coordinator, and the faculty members of the P G department of physical education. With this throw, Chaudhary clinched India’s first gold of the Games in the men’s F42-44/61-64 category. He owed his success to his coach, parents, faculty of GHG Khalsa College and the Paralympic Committee of India for their infinite support.Lt. Sandeep has already set his sight for another podium finish at the World Championships to be held in Dubai..
