LUDHIANA: Sandeep Chaudhary, a javelin thrower from GHG Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar, with his throw of 60.01m scripted history by breaking a 38-year-old world record at the ongoing Asian Para Games in Jakarta Indonesia . Dr S S Deol, principal, and Dr H S Brar, registrar, commended his phenomenal achievement and duly lauded the efforts of Prof Tejinder Singh, head of department, Dr Manohar Lal, coordinator, and the faculty members of the P G department of physical education. With this throw, Chaudhary clinched India’s first gold of the Games in the men’s F42-44/61-64 category.
