GRP arrests 2 drug peddlers from railway station

LUDHIANA: The government railway police ( GRP ) arrested two persons in a drug peddling case from the city railway station during a checking drive here on Monday. Following this, extensive checks will be conducted during early morning hours on alternate days at the Ludhiana railway station. The accused have been identified as Vipin and Rocky of Amritsar district.Investigating officer Palwinder Singh said that working on a tip-off, specials checks were carried out by the crime investigation wing of the GRP on all platforms of the railway station. “We are checking if the accused have a criminal history. The cops detained two drug peddlers and recovered over 1,800 capsules filled with banned substance (Spasmo Proxivon plus) from their possession.During investigation it was learned that both the accused are well known to each other and had started peddling drugs to earn money in quick sessions..
