Summary:

JALANDHAR: Canadian defence minister Harjit Singh Sajjan has taken exception to use of term ‘Sikh (Khalistani) extremism’ in the ‘Public Report on Terrorism Threat to Canada’. The use of the term ‘Sikh extremism’ does a disservice to our community and is a completely inaccurate portrayal of an entire religion. She clarified that this report wasn’t approved by the ‘Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security’ of which she is a member. I have brought these concerns to @ralphgoodale and will continue to stand up for all Sikh Canadians,” Sajjan has tweeted. Welcoming Goodale’s statement about review, she said, “I strongly urge the Department of Public Safety to revise the report as soon as possible and provide further justification for the contents”..
