PATIALA: Under the beautification of Choti Nadi project, the drainage department on Thursday removed the encroachment that was done mostly by the rag pickers. The NGT team then asked to clean polythene waste lying in choti and badi nadi, both seasonal drains. The officials claimed that polythene and plastic were dumped at a larger level by the rag pickers and some residents whereas the rag pickers had made it as their temporary stay during the day time.
