Khanna police arrests two Bihar men with 10.3 kilograms charas

LUDHIANA: The police on Monday arrested two drug peddlers after ten kilograms and three hundred grams of charas was recovered from them at Lalheri road in Khanna. The accused were identified as Arbaz Khan and Mehar Beg. Both are from Delhi.SSP Dhruv Dahiya said that under a special campaign against drug trafficking and misdemeanors, the police was patrolling on the Amloh Road when they recovered 270 grams and 50 grams of heroin from two men after the arrest were made. After checking their bags, the police recovered charas that was wrapped in 19 packets.The accused were booked under NDPS Act after they were arrested.In another incident on Sunday, two drug peddlers were arrested with three hundred twenty grams of heroin at Amloh Road by the Khanna police. The accused were identified as Nand Lal of Slopurban, Bihar, and Pintu Kumar Das of the same area.Khanna police DSP Deepak Rai said they stopped two suspicious looking youths during vigilance at the Lalheri Road's check post under a special campaign..
