Two-day training of government officials on conduct of LS elections

Summary:

Ludhiana: In view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections the trainings of officials of the state has started. Deputy commissioner, Mansa, Apneet Riyait gave a presentation on the topic of ‘Role and Responsibility as District Election Officer and Returning Officer’. Several other officials too gave presentations on different topics connected with the elections.During this course the additional CEO urged all officers to ensure that the upcoming Lok Sabha elections were conducted in a free-and-fair manner. Prominent among those who attended the certification course included deputy commissioner, Ludhiana, Pradeep Kumar Agrawal, Kapurthala DC Mohammad Tayyab, Jalandhar DC Varinder Kumar Sharma, Patiala DC Kumar Amit, Hoshiarpur DC Isha Kalia, Pathankot DC Rambir, Gurdaspur DC Vipul Ujjwal, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar DC Vinay Bublani, Rupnagar DC Sumit Jarangal, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar DC Gurpreet Kaur Sapra, Ludhiana ADC (Development) Shena Aggarwal, Jagraon ADC Neeru Katyal Gupta, besides several others. The ADC, SBS Nagar, Amrit Singh gave a presentation on on ‘Vulnerability Mapping and Deployment of Security Personnel, DEMP and constituency plan’ while Gurdaspur ADC Subhash Chander also gave a presentation on ‘Qualifications and Disqualifications, Nominations by Candidates and on Scrutiny of Nomination Papers, Withdrawal of Candidature and Allotment of Symbols to Contesting Candidates and Risk Management’..
