Jammu and Kashmir bus driver arrested with poppy husk

JALANDHAR: Jalandhar Rural police have arrested the driver and conductor of a J&K State Transport Corporation bus for transporting 90kg poppy husk in the government vehicle. JK-01-Y-0565 and recovered 90kg of poppy husk from Tariq Ahmed and Ghulam Mohideen, residents of Srinagar. Police have claimed that they used to take empty buses from Srinagar to Delhi and would carry parcels which they would deliver on the way. He said that police had intercepted the bus on the basis of a tip off and there were no passengers in the vehicle. They revealed that one Bashir Ahmed resident of Lal Chowk in Srinagar had handed over the money which was to be delivered to his son Kanish at Delhi,” SSP said..
