The fatal accident on March 9 had brought back focus on stretches on the road along the canal which has broken or no barriers around its stretches. .Ishupreet Singh, a student of PCTE College, said, “I use this road to go to my college every day. Most of the barricades are broken and those which have been left might not be able to even stop a two-wheeler. Highlighting the danger on the road, residents said that the authorities should act promptly by installing railings and barricades by the side of Sidhwan to ensure that no more lives are lost in such accidents. This issue should be taken up seriously and resolved as early as possible.”It seems that the authorities are waiting for more incidents to take action in this regard..
