City Centre, I-T cases adjourned

Ludhiana: The court of sessions judge Gurbir Singh on Thursday adjourned the City Centre case, where chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh is one of the accused, to April 23. Rakesh Gupta, advocate for the I-T department, said the court would now hear all the three cases that day. Meanwhile, the court of chief judicial magistrate SK Goyal also adjourned three cases for alleged income tax evasion to April 19.The three cases were filed by the I-T department where too Captain Amarinder Singh is an accused in one case, and his son Raninder Singh, the accused in two other cases. Arguments on the cancellation report filed by the Vigilance Bureau, giving a clean chit to the chief minister and other accused, are expected to start in the next hearing on April 19..
