Man gets 5-yr RI for attempt to rape minor

She further told her mother that the accused assaulted her by pushing her on the bed.It was added in the complaint that as soon as the accused tried to undress the girl, she raised an alarm following which her brother who was in the other room, rushed in. Police later presented chargesheet of the case in the court.The additional public prosecutor pleased for punishment to the accused on the basis of prosecution evidence including statement of the complainant and the girl.The court of additional sessions Judge Sonia Kinra after listening to the evidence on record, sentenced the accused to five years of rigorous imprisonment. She added that on the day of the incident, she and her husband had gone to work in the fields and on returning in afternoon, they found their daughter in tears.The complainant said on asking, her daughter told them that she had gone to take a bath and as she returned to her room, the accused came there after jumping a wall.
